Bible Giveaway Program

How to Receive a FREE ESV Study Bible.

Discipleship Inc is a Bible based ministry. What do we mean by this? Simply that the One True and Living God has spoken to us. His Word is "God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness." (2 Timothy 3:16)

Therefore, to read His Word is to bring forth the possibility of coming into the Presence of Almighty God--in the same way our Lord did when He met with His disciples in the upper room. It is for this reason that our ministry is committed to giving away free Bibles to help people come to know God through His Word.

The ESV Study Bible is more than just a Bible to read. It has numerous study aids to help you understand what you are reading. Here are some primary features:

  • More than 2 million words with 20,000 study notes and other resources
  • 80,000 cross references and an extensive concordance
  • 200 full color maps alongside ESV text and notes throughout the Bible
  • 40 illustrations, including full color renderings and architectural diagrams
  • 200+ charts providing concise summaries and key insights
  • 50+ articles on essential topics of theology, ethics, and biblical teaching

If you, or someone you know, is interested in receiving a free ESV Study Bible you can email Steve Beier at: Steve@discipleshipinc.org

ESV Study Bible—Creating Greater Expectations for Your Bible Reading

* * What is a study Bible? It is a Bible designed to help you learn, understand, and grow your knowledge of God. The LORD gave us His Word so we could know Him. Here are some ways the ESV study Bible helps do this.

1. Introduction to the Book—the ESV study Bible has an introduction to each Book of the Bible. (e.g. Page 39 introduction to Genesis)

2. Articles to Key Christian questions—here are answers to some questions about the Bible: ‘What is the gospel?” (P2501), ‘How do we interpret the Bible?’ (P2561), ‘How did we get the canon of Scripture?’ (P2577), ‘Is the Bible reliable?’ (P2585), ‘How does the Old Testament interpret the New Testament?’ (P2605) … and many more articles.

3. Key Diagrams to help you understand Bible texts—there are many color diagrams to help you learn. For instance, ‘What did the tabernacle tent look like in the Old Testament?’ (P186 gives a picture)

4. Key Maps are supplied to help you understand where places are—‘Where were the twelves tribes of Israel located?’ (P416)

5. There is a concordance of follow up verses to help the Bible interpret itself—if you don’t understand a verse, the Bible gives other verses to help you learn. ‘What does it mean to be saved by faith?’ (See Romans 5:1 (P2165) and concordance verse note ‘a’ for verse at the left side of the Bible.)

6. There is a ‘word’ concordance for key words in Christianity—the ESV study Bible has many pages to help you understand key words like ‘faith’ (P2691), ‘suffering’ (P2731), ‘love’ (P2708), and ‘hope’ (P2700).

7. There is a commentary for most all verses to further your study—many people think the Bible is too hard to understand. However, an expert commentary for this Book helps tremendously. ‘What does Jesus mean by “I am the bread of life?’” (P2035) has comments at the bottom of the page.

8. There are general maps for all time periods of the Bible—these key maps help you get the ‘big picture’ of where many places are located on a world map (P2753—very end of the Bible)

9. Bible Reading Plan—for those interested in trying to read the Bible in a year … or simply a reading plan for any given day … such a plan is supplied (P2743-2750).

"Open my eyes that I may behold wonderful things in Your Word ... Your testimonies are my delight; they are my counselors." (Psalm 119:18,24)
